Do you know Debbie Reynolds? C'mon - how can you not? She was in the movie, "Singin' in the Rain" with Gene Kelly. I am SO EXCITED because she is going to be the honorary chairperson for a lovely fundraising event that is to be held on April 4th at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Mesa, AZ. What is this event? What is it for? Read below:

OneHeart Umbrella Campaign
The OneHeart Umbrella Campaign is a fundraising effort launched by the Broadway Palm Theatre in Mesa, Arizona to raise funds and awareness to help Emma and Taylor, as well as other families facing similar medical, financial and emotional challenges.

The Broadway Palm’s current production of Singin’ in the Rain has been dedicated to this effort, to that end, the lobby of the theatre is being filled with scores of umbrellas that have been autographed by stars of film, television, sports, music and theatre who have also shown their support for Emma and Taylor.

These umbrellas will be auctioned on eBay for 10 days beginning March 26. The auction will end on April 4, 2009 during a Gala evening, featuring our Honorary Chairperson, MGM film legend, Debbie Reynolds, along with our special guests stars the spectacular Dutton Family of Branson, Missouri, the cast of Singin’ In The Rain, and other entertainers. A special menu including lavish hors d’ oeuvres will be created for the evening.

As you may recall, Emma & Taylor Bailey are my nieces. I'm their favorite Aunt Sara (how did I manage that? Well, simple, I'm the only one named Sara.) How can you participate? The Two Sisters, One heart is a non-profit organization that has been set up by Mandy & Tor Bailey, their parents. This organization is to help offset the incredible medical costs and also to help other families with conjoined twins.
